Our First Utility Patent
On Friday, I mailed out our first installment payment to Mike O'Neil. Last year, we retained him to file with the USPTO for a provisional patent for one of our inventions.The expiration date on the provisional patent runs out soon, and we have decided to go ahead and convert our provisional into a utility patent application. Hopefully, in 18 - 24 months, we will be notified of an awarded patent.
Note: Our other option was to not file for a patent, and let the information lapse into the public domain.
